Located in Southwest Georgia's Quitman County, Pataula Creek Lodge offers a unique hunting experience in the heart of Pine Forest. Bordering the Alabama border, this area is known for its abundant deer population, making it a prime destination for hunters looking to test their skills.
What are the hunting requirements?
In order to hunt at Pataula Creek Lodge, all hunters must possess a Georgia hunting license, whether they are a resident or non-resident. Additionally, hunters born on or after Jan. 1, 1961, must successfully complete a hunter education course before purchasing a season-long hunting license. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources offers in-person classroom course options at no cost to ensure the safety and knowledge of all hunters.
What is the stay duration?
Check-in at Pataula Creek Lodge is after 2:00 PM on Thursday afternoon, with hunting activities scheduled for Friday morning, Friday afternoon, Saturday morning, and Saturday afternoon. Hunters will vacate the lodge on Sunday, allowing for a full weekend of hunting and relaxation in the beautiful Georgia wilderness.
What is the deer allowance?
At Pataula Creek Lodge, hunters will be allowed to harvest one antlerless deer or "doe" deer and one antlered deer or "buck" with eight points or better. We do make exceptions for our youth hunters and our beginner female hunters.
Hunting land?
The hunting land consists of a 600 acre tract of planted Pines, Oak hammocks, clear cuts, and Creek bottoms. We have planted food plots, corn feeders, condo stands, ground blinds, and leaner Style tree stands.
